Wi-Fi Troubleshooting (iPad)
Connecting to the CEWA Wi-Fi:
- Open the Settings app on your iPad.
- Tap Wi-Fi from the list of options on the left side of the screen.
- Look for the CEWA network name in the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
- Tap the CEWA network name to connect.
- Enter your CEWA email address and password. (use your @student.cewa.edu.au or @cewa.edu.au email)
- Tap "Join" to connect to the network.
- If prompted to "Trust" the network, tap "Trust".
- Once connected, you should see a checkmark next to the network name, indicating that you are connected to the Wi-Fi network.
Connection is not Private:
If you see this message when trying to access websites, it means the website you are trying to visit does not have a valid security certificate. To resolve this issue, please see the IT department so they can install the school profile onto your device. This will ensure your device is configured to use the school's secure network.
Wi-Fi will not connect:
If your WiFi does not connect (i.e. you see a spinning wheel), try the following steps to resolve this:
- Open the Settings app on your iPad.
- Tap Wi-Fi from the list of options on the left side of the screen.
- Look for the CEWA network name in the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
- Tap the (i) icon located next to the CEWA network name.
- Tap the "Forget This Network" option at the top of the screen.
- Confirm that you want to forget the network by tapping "Forget" in the pop-up menu.
- The CEWA network will now be removed from your saved Wi-Fi networks.
- Look for the CEWA network name in the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
- Tap the CEWA network name to connect.
- Enter your CEWA email address and password. (use your @student.cewa.edu.au or @cewa.edu.au email)
- Tap "Join" to connect to the network.
- If prompted to "Trust" the network, tap "Trust".
- Once connected, you should see a checkmark next to the network name, indicating that you are connected to the Wi-Fi network.
